I have a vested interest in word-of-mouth as a promotional tool, so I give my opinions about my experiences with businesses and Web sites with which I’ve interacted. More often than not I let the negative comments go un-said, but I like to praise good service.

My wonderful wife wanted to buy me a camera accessory in celebration of our recent 28th wedding anniversary. Not being camera savvy, she went to Best Buy where we had purchased the camera (I’ll probably tell that story one day) who, since they aren’t really a camera shop referred her to the only option in the same shopping mall. By this route she ended up at Ritz Camera.

Wanting to buy me a lens, but not really knowing what to get or how to balance quality and price, she asked the guy behind the counter for advice. The Ritz employee asked her what sort of photography I liked to do, and she told him that I take a lot of flowers and bugs; things like that. He recommended a lens and she brought it home.

This is the story of how I got my Nikon f2.8 60mm Micro Nikkor macro lens. I love this lens for close-up work and for the clarity I get using it as a 60mm prime.

Great job honey! Great job Ritz.
