Haynes White House Inn
Jan 15th, 2007 by Larry
My wife and I spent our extended weekend at a great Bed and Breakfast place in Old Forge, NY called Haynes White House Inn. This wonderful home is owned by Margaret Haynes who we met a couple of years ago when we stayed at her other great property, Log Camp.
Log Camp is a 1906 log camp with two guest cabins. My wife and I just love the seclusion in this little cabin on Seventh Lake. Margaret is a wonderful hostess who makes any place you meet her feel like home. We have felt like old friends since our very first encounter.
Haynes White House Inn is a wonderful 1920s-ish colonial exquisitely decorated in beautiful Victorian style throughout. Little touches and thoughtful selection of amenities make the Haynes properties truly outstanding. While I was there I snapped this image:

I strongly recommend that you visit the Inn and Log Camp. For relaxation, nothing beats them, and you won’t find a hostess who is more fun or gracious than Margaret… unless it’s Cindi or Carol ,one of her daughters! We escape there every chance we get.
