I have over the last few years occasionally reflected upon the thought that I am unaware of any other group besides Christians who routinely sing in their “ritual”, or “fellowship”, or “Sunday meetin’” or “worship service.”
I believe this is because followers of Jesus have real reason for joy. Scripture tells us that “the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.” This joy is why we sing.
