One of the best ever. This is crazy-good! I love photography that looks like paintings by the old masters. The light, the simplicity, the meticulous detail–these are a few of my favorite things about this image. Be sure to check out +Bill Gekas on Google+. I'd hang this on my wall.

'The baker's apprentice' I shot this one on Sunday.
Inspired by the light of Vermeer and the works of DeLone.
I'll get around to a lighting diagram on my blog in the next day or so!![]()

This picture reminded me of “Mona Lisa” of Veermer. Beautiful and inspiring.
I believe the photographer had that painting in mind, actually. Thanks for dropping by, Janice.
I agree with you on the picture. I like to take pictures too, point and snap.. Would love to have the time and energy plus equipment to do something just a fraction as good as this. I could learn a lot from you on picture taking but as you know me I’m a busy person.. Enjoy this very much.
Very nice tone and lighting. Also, great choice of background and model. Perfect all the way around.
I Plus-1′d this one immediately. He did a great job as it doesn’t even look like he “lighted” it.
It is an amazing shot. He is supposed to be writing a post about how he lit it. I’d love to see that.
