  1. Larry, viewed your pasta rack, great job!
I was just curious as to the approximate length of the dowels, and the overall height of the rack.
Thanks & Happy New Year to you and yours!
    George

    • George, I apologize for the lengthy delay in my reply. I am still recovering from the odd schedule the holidays always bring. The dowels on the pasta rack are about seven inches long. They are set into holes drilled about three-quarters of an inch into the hub. The hub sits atop a dowel so it can spin. I sharpened the end of that dowel a bit to make the top spin more easily. The rack is about 12 inches tall. That seems to be just about perfect for the pasta my wife makes. The base needs to be bulky enough to handle the weight of the rack when it has pasta on only one side.

I hope this provides the information you need. I’d love to see your version if you build it.

  2. Hi Larry…I came across a photo called “stillwater reservoir”. This isn’t the reservoir in Uniondale, Pa, is it?

    • Thanks for dropping by, Ed. This Stillwater Reservoir is in NY State on the western edge of the Adirondack Park not too far from Lowville.

  3. Thanks for dropping by David. I’d be pleased to take a look at your work and lend any insight I can.
